ARTICLE ONE – NAME.

The name of the body shall be NEW LIFE ANOINTED MINISTRY officially recognized by the Kenyan government are registered by the registrar of societies (Reg no. _____) and with PIN number issued to use by Kenya Revenue Authority (PIN ……) Hereafter referred to NLAM in this document.

 

ARTICLE TWO – VISION / MISSION STATEMENT

 

VISION – Reach out with the true gospel of Jesus Christ, equipping and allowing His word to transform mankind to the new life. Romans 6:4.

 

MISSION – To spend and to be spent by reaching the un-reached with the gospel, equipping and releasing so as to do the greater works ahead, using available resources to encourage many with the word of God, causing a new life.

 

ARTICLE THREE – RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION

 

We of the NLAM openly declare that we are a religious organization, non political and non profit making entity, shall be used only for religious charitable and educational purposes.

If there will be found amongst us who will be involved in politics or profit making purposes, he or she will be exercising their personal rights, and will not be in anyway whatsoever representing NLAM

 

ARTICLE FOUR – PURPOSE

 

  1. The purpose for which this religious Christian ministry is formed shall be: To preach and expound the gospel of Jesus Christ according to the Holy Scripture, to educate and lead its followers in the way of salvation, goodness, righteousness and temperance at taught in the Bible. Baptizing in many waters and also encouraging the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the manifestation of speaking in other tongues.
  2. Joining male and female in Holy matrimony
  3. Promotion of any missionary, Educational or charitable enterprise
  4. To assume and share the responsibility of fulfilling the Great Commission
  5. The propagation of the gospel and evangelizing to the nations and establishing fellowships and churches for vision to be fulfilled
  6. To provide unity and fellowship among all the members of  the body of Christ
  7. NLAM shall have the rights to process, buy, mortgage, sell, lease, barter and exchange real and personal property, to borrow money, collect funds, receive gifts and legacies as it may judge necessary for the attainment of this objects.

 

ARTICLE FIVE – MEMBERSHIP

 

All individuals, minister, churches, evangelistic, educational and missionary ministries that subscribe to the NLAM may make application to become part of this ministry. Membership is then approved and ID issued where necessary and membership list be kept by the Secretary as required by law.

 

 

ARTICLE SIX – EXECUTIVE BOARD

The executive board shall consist of not less than (5) members and shall direct the affairs of NLAM

 

  1. Chairman
  2. Vice Chairman
  3. Secretary
  4. Assistant Secretary
  5. Treasurer
  6. Assistant Treasurer
  7. Executive Member

 

DESCRIPTION OF THE FUNCTION OF THE EXECUTIVE

 

CHAIRMAN:

Here referred to as the PRESIDING BISHOP, shall be the principal executive officer of NLAM and shall in general supervise and preside at all meetings of the board. He may sign with the secretary or any other proper officer of NLAM authorized by the board; any deeds, mortgages, contracts or other instruments which the board has authorized to be executed, except in cases where signing and execution thereof shall be delegated by the board or by these bylaws. And in general, he shall perform all duties incident to the office of the presiding Bishop.

 

The Presiding Bishop maybe replaces only on the grounds of immorality or incompetence. Otherwise his replacement will be upon his retirement, resignation or on medical grounds

 

The presiding Bishop shall have a final authority to employ/dismiss any staff member or office personnel

 

VICE – CHAIRMAN

In the absence of the presiding Bishop, or in the event of his inability to act, or incase of delegation from the presiding Bishop or delegation or direction from the executive board, the vice chair in chronological order and chain of command shall perform the duties of the chair, and when so acting shall have all the powers of the chair and be subject to all the restrictions upon the chair.

And the vice chair shall assist the presiding Bishop to supervise the churches and shall perform any other duties as from time to time maybe assigned to him by the chair or the Executive board.

 

SECRETARY

The Secretary shall keep the minutes of the meetings of the board; give all notices in accordance with the provision of these bylaws. Be custodian of NLAM records and the seal of the ministry, and affix the seal of NLAM to all documents. The execution of which on behalf of NLAM under its seal is duly authorized in accordance with the provision of these by laws.

And in general the secretary shall perform all duties incident to the office of the Secretary and such other duties as from time to time be assigned to her by the chair or by the executive board

 

TREASURER

The treasurer shall have charge and custody of, and be responsible for all funds and securities of NLAM; receive and give receipts for monies due and payable to NLAM from source whatsoever, and deposit all such monies in the name of NLAM is such banks, or other depositories as shall be selected in accordance with provisions of these bylaws.

And in general the treasurer shall perform all duties incident to the office of the treasurer and such other duties as from time to time be assigned to her by the chair or by the executive board

 

ASSISTANT SECRETARY/TREASURER

 

The Assistant Secretary and Treasurer will act in the absence of the Secretary/Treasurer

And in general the secretary/Treasurer shall perform all duties incident to the office of the Secretary/Treasurer and such other duties as from time to time be assigned to them by the Secretary/Treasurer respectively or Presiding Bishop or the executive board

 

ARTICLE SEVEN – OFFICERS / OFFICES

Offices in NLAM shall be i. Presiding Bishop ii. Executive Board. iii. Regional Overseers iv. Area Supernatants v. County Father

 

STRUCTURE

 

The Executive Board and The Regional leaders will constitute the National Board.

 

ARTICLE EIGHT – MINISTERIAL CREDENTIALS

 

NLAM offers three categories of ministerial credentials, two of which is given directly and one is a government document which is within our powers to recommend. 1. Ordained Minister 2. Licensed Minister 3. Commission Church Minister.

To more adequately ensure the formation of proper ministerial attitudes, and to offer a structured approach to practice ministerial equipping, applicants for licensed ministers and Commissioned Church Ministers shall be serving in NLAM under supervision of one of our pastors or designated clergy

All applicants for ministry must be nominated by the pastor of their local church and endorsed by at least two other leaders from the same church, all applicants must be loyal members of a church, morally upright, with one wife and a faithful tither.

NLAM believes in ministry is by calling so necessary credentials from Christian institutions shall be an added advantage

 

  1. LICENCED MINISTER

This means, a minister that will be licensed by the government to undertake ministerial works.

NLAM will recommend names to the necessary government bodies to enable that applicant to be issued to be able to undertake assignments within their responsibilities.

Qualification

  1. Applicant must be an ordained minister of NLAM
  2. Must meet all biblical requirements as set forth in 1st Timothy 3:1-7
  3. Applicants must be thoroughly acquainted with and sign a statement of intent to abide by by-laws and believes in the Vision of NLAM. And must be acquainted with the Kenyan law specifically THE CHRISTIAN AFRICAN MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE ACT, Cap 151

 

Licensed minister shall have the rights and authority to:

  1. All Pastoral duties required of him/her
  2. Solemnize rights of matrimony
  3. Celebrate marriages on behalf of NLAM and the government of Kenya
  4. Sign and issue marriage certificates
  5. Pre and Post marital counseling

 

  1. ORDAINED MINISTER

It means that the minister will be ordained to the Presiding Bishop to his/her office based on his/her calling

Qualification

  1. Applicant must be proven serving minister with NLAM or affiliated to NLAM, and submitting tithes to the Hqs
  2. Must meet all biblical requirements as set forth in 1st Timothy 3:1-7
  3. Applicants must be thoroughly acquainted with and sign a statement of intent to abide by by-laws and believes in the Vision of NLAM

 

Ordained minister shall have the rights and authority to:

  1. Officially preach, publish, teach and defend the gospel of Jesus Christ
  2. Serve in NLAM on an official capacity or any appointment that qualifies them
  3. Baptize converts and dedicate children and any other properties
  4. Receive believers into fellowship and church membership
  5. Administer sacrament and perform all sacred duties
  6. Solemnize rights of matrimony
  7. Assist in ordination of clergy
  8. Establish and organize church(s)
  9. Serve in any ministerial capacity requiring ordination

 

  1. COMMISSIONED CHURCH MNISTER
  1. This refers to other ministers in the church, mostly referred to Ministers, Deacons, Elders, Chairman/lady, etc
  2. Since the work of the ministry often requires the assistance of non-ecclesiastical personnel to complete the various ministerial functions, such persons shall be conferred with designation of Commissioned Minister. This designation will be fully sanctioned commissioned ministry.
  3. The senior pastor of a local church has the entire mandate to approve faithful and mature members for such positions as per the structure of the church.
  4. The ordained minister has the right to commission them to their positions after approval by the congregation. Before commissioning, an announcement shall be made to the congregation, then after (not less than 7 days) the pastor can go ahead to commissioning. Such commissioning must be done in the presence of the congregation, not in private
  5. The local pastor can, if he wishes to call the presiding Bishop or any other ordained pastor within NLAM to assist him on the commissioning.

 

Commissioned minister shall have the rights and authority to:

  1. Have the authority to assist in all ecclesiastical duties under the authority or direction of duly ordained minister within NLAM
  2. Have all the rights and privileges of the ecclesiastical personnel as it pertains to the work of the ministry, and their relationship with community, government and body of Christ at large
  3. Be able to fully head a wing or a ministry within NLAM, and be able to guide and direct a group of believers in the church

 

ALL THE ABOVE WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATION.

 

CANCELLATION OF CERTIFICATES

In case a minister misbehaves and upon corrections he/she does not show any signs of improving, then the executive board has the powers to cancel or revoke the certificate or recommend the Kenyan government to cancel license issued to them

 

ARTICLE NINE – DISCIPLINE

Any member of NLAM, whether individual, a church, affiliated ministry or any other type of organization maybe removed from membership for the following reasons

 



      1. Rejection of any aspect of the vision and beliefs of NLAM
      2. Immorality
      3. Unruly or disorderly actions, conduct or behaviors
      4. Causing divisions within NLAM or within any local church that is affiliated to NLAM
      5. Any action, conduct or behavior of individual(s) or a church or ministry operations which is contrary to the Bible or biblical principals or doctrine
      6. Failure to comply with the provision of this by-laws

 

Incase of any case brought to our attention of the above mentioned magnitude, the executive will have to gather and see to it. After confirmation, the board will give an approval of removal from membership.

However the presiding Bishop has the sole power to remove an individual or a group from membership and this are extreme and open cases.

 

ARTICLE TEN – FINANCES

 

  1. Finances here mean monies, grants, properties. Income vs. expenditure of NLAM
  2. Every local church will be responsible of its income and expenditure; the senior pastor will supervise the cash flow of the local church. However every local church is supposed to submit 10% of all their income on a monthly basis, this is termed as the TITHE. However the weekly remittance can also be encouraged. An account number for the deposit of the tithes will be issued.
  3. The church should have a kitty for the presiding Bishop’s upkeep, or any other support that a local church can plan for the Bishop.
  4. Mission kitty will come from each church to support our missions. This will assist our new churches and annual conferences.
  5. Or any other financial participation that we will all be required to participate.

 

ARTICLE ELEVEN – USAGE OF NAME

 

The name used is NEW LIFE ANOINTED MINISTRY shall be a name used by all our churches and ministries. It shall be clearly written in all notice boards, sign boards, Letter heads or any official documents. However one is free to name his/her local church according to the lead of the spirit but the NLAM’s name must be visible as long as one is still under us.

 

ARTICLE TWELVE – BRANCH CHURCHES

  1. Any church or Pastor can open branch Church(s).
  2. We believe in nattering our own, and we will encourage that our branch churches will be pioneered by our own sons and daughters from our local churches. Who have been raised and trained by our local pastors.
  3. Just incase of a pastor who would wish to join us and show interest of opening a branch church with us, we would recommend that he/she sits our teaching for not less than six month before being released.
  4. And for the churches that already exist and want to join together with us, a written letter to show interest and intent to join us will be submitted to the Presiding Bishop, and the Executive Board will there after make an approval or rejection based on the reasons indicated on the letter.
